Can you help me promote my tour in school?

Yes – we will send you posters to advertise the tour. We also provide PowerPoint presentations on request. We can also attend parent’s evening if you wish.

How do your tours enhance our students’ education?

Research over the last fifty years has shown that residential educational tours provide significant educational benefits across the curriculum.

Are single rooms available for staff members?

Yes – subject to availability. Usually there is a charge.

Do you provide risk assessments?

A: Yes, we provide generic risk assessments. Actual risk assessments must be taken at the time by the leaders.

Do you provide help with risk assessments?

Yes – all clients who book school tours with us get access to a client area where there are risk assessments available for all tour elements detailed in your quote, as well as confirmation letters.

Can we request our channel crossing route?

Yes – at time of booking, using the booking form.

Can I contact Wyvern during our tour?

Yes – we provide a 24-hour helpline service throughout all residential tours to give you peace of mind around the clock.

Can you help with programme planning?

Yes – with 35 years’ experience and extensive knowledge of the destinations, accommodation options and all the various attractions our staff will be delighted to help create and deliver school trips tailored to your individual requirements.

Can Wyvern arrange tours to destinations not in the brochure?

Yes – within Western Europe. Just tell us what you have in mind and we’ll be delighted to discuss how we can create a bespoke tour to the region of your choice.

Is travel insurance included in the tour cost?

Yes – unless you tell us that you do not want it at time of booking. For more information on travel insurance click here.

What financial security do you provide?

A: Yes, we are ABTA and ATOL bonded. We are also fully accredited members of STF. We hold public liability insurance for up to £10,000,000.

Is our money safe with Wyvern?

Absolutely – Wyvern are part of Halsbury Travel Ltd, a member of ABTA and our trips are ATOL bonded.

This means all the school tours organised by Wyvern are covered and you have financial protection in the event of company failure.

The ABTA code of conduct is strict and unforgiving. In order to maintain membership Wyvern has to conform to exacting financial checks and ethical standards…visit our page on the ABTA website for more information.

Is the driver seat included in total number of seats on the coach?

No – the number of seats provided by a coach does not include driver or courier seat.

Can you accept students with dietary requirements?

A: Yes, but we need earliest possible notification of dietary requirements and at least 16 weeks before departure. Please be aware that some accommodation providers in Europe deals less well with vegetarians, vegans, allergies and religious diets.

Are entrance fees to excursions included in the price?

No – our basic tour does not include entrance fees as these cannot be known at time of booking. However, if we are paid in advance, we can pay suppliers on your behalf.

Is there a lot of paperwork to complete?

No – apart from the booking form, our Tour Information Form might take 20 minutes to complete if the information has all been collected beforehand. We have endeavoured to minimise the administrative responsibility of tour leaders.
