Our highly popular tours to Normandy lend themselves extremely well to cross-curricular studies.
Normandy is consistently our most popular destination – for good reason. It offers a wealth of historical, geographical and cultural opportunities and its proximity to the UK makes it easy for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 students to access.
The area is rich in historical sites and castles relating to William the Conqueror and the medieval links between England and France culminating in the Hundred Years’ War. There are many World War II sites, including the beaches of the Normandy Landings. These include a fascinating choice of museums, cemeteries, fortifications and battlefields.
Students experience the region’s distinctive culture and taste its delicious produce with visits to street markets and local producers including bakeries, oyster farms, goat farms, biscuit makers and a chocolate museum. Students are also encouraged to practice their French using language exercises and town trails.
Our extensive knowledge, contacts and experience of providing tailored school tours of Normandy allow us to offer unrivalled levels of service, fascinating programmes and excellent accommodation, all at competitive rates and with complete peace of mind.
